How to check if your device supports eSIM transfers

Use this if you want to move your travel eSIM from one device to another. Not all devices support eSIM transfer. If your device doesn’t, you’ll need to request an eSIM replacement.
iPhone → iPhone
Automatic transfer during setup
When setting up your new iPhone, you may be prompted to transfer your SIM.
Follow the onscreen instructions to move your eSIM.
Requirements:
Both iPhones must be on iOS 16 or later
Signed in with the same Apple ID, or able to unlock the old device
Devices must be near each other with Bluetooth turned on
If you don’t have access to your old iPhone, request an eSIM replacement.
Manual transfer after setup
On your new iPhone, go to
Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM.Choose a cellular plan to transfer.
If no plans appear, tap Transfer from Nearby iPhone.
Confirm the transfer on your old iPhone:
Tap Transfer, or
Enter the verification code shown on your new iPhone.
Wait for activation. The old eSIM will deactivate once the new one is active.
If a banner appears saying “Finish setting up your carrier’s plan,” follow it.
Android → Android
On your new device, open
Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.Tap Add eSIM.
If supported, you’ll see Transfer SIM from another phone.
Follow the onscreen steps.
If you don’t see this option, your device may not support transfers.

Google Pixel 3 and newer
Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer (region and carrier variants may differ)
iPhone → Android / Android → iPhone
Cross-platform eSIM transfers are not supported. You’ll need to request an eSIM replacement.
If transfer isn’t supported
Request a replacement eSIM for your new device.
Keep in mind that most travel eSIMs can only be active on one device at a time.
