How do I know if my device is eSIM compatible?
Last updated: December 4, 2025
Most newer smartphones support eSIM, including:
iPhone: All models from iPhone XR (2018) and newer
Samsung Galaxy: Most models from S21 and newer
Google Pixel: From Pixel 4a and newer
Other brands: Many recent flagship devices from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and others
Quick ways to check:
On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile Network > Add eSIM. If you see the option, your device supports eSIM.
Look for your device’s EID number (a 32-digit identifier for eSIM) by dialing #06# or checking Settings > About Phone.
Your device must also be carrier unlocked to use a travel eSIM. Some regional versions (e.g., devices sold in mainland China) may not support eSIM, even if the global model does.
