How to install your travel eSIM

After you claim Gigs as your Wealthsimple Milestone Reward, follow the steps below to activate your eSIM.
Before you start: if you're connected to a VPN, turn it off before installing. An active VPN can block the install from completing. You can turn it back on once your eSIM is installed and connected.
What you will need
- A compatible, unlocked device
- A stable Wi-Fi connection
- Your eSIM installation link or QR code (from the Wealthsimple app)

iPhone
- Open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
- Choose one of:
- QR code: scan the code provided.
- Installation link: tap the link in your email or the app.
- Manual entry: enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code if provided.
- Tap Continue → Add Cellular Plan → Done.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Go back to Settings → Cellular and make sure your new line is turned on.
Android (eSIM supported)
- Open Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Choose one of:
- QR code: scan the code provided.
- Installation link: tap the link in your email or the app.
- Manual entry: enter the activation code if provided.
- Confirm the download and wait for activation.
- Restart your phone.
Samsung users: settings may appear under Connections → SIM card manager.
If your eSIM does not install
- Make sure your device is unlocked and eSIM compatible.
- Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi during installation.
- Restart your device and try again.
